Julia Domna - Limnes Denarius?????

Hi all!

I got a wonderful bunch of Roman Provincials here at FORVM - Always lots of fun, and some REALLY GREAT issues!
This one has me puzzled - Not the greatest condition - but you can read the legends!  Obviously Julia Domna - It is a match for:

RIC 553 - Sear5 #6584 Julia Domna Denarius. IVLIA AVGVSTA, draped bust right / FORTVNAE FELICI, Fortuna enthroned left holding cornucopiae & leaning on rudder set on globe. RSC 58. 

But his coin is not silver - it is 18mm. Did they make limnes denarii for Julia?  I see no trace of silvering - maybe an ancient counterfeit?  Any ideas?  I like this coin!
