Good looking Geta provincial
« on: July 05, 2007, 01:25:42 pm »
Obv: PCSEP-GETASC Bareheaded, draped, cuirassed right
Rev: ANT-IOCHG-ENCOLCA Woman facing left, holding branch (?) and cornucopia
scales at 6.8g
dia is 23.45mm

Coin is sharply struck, VF and a mystery.  I find Antioch-Pisidia coin for Geta, similar legend on obv.  Tried WW and coin archives
1. Any other places I can check?
2.  Who is the figure on the reverse?

As always any help would be appreciated, thanks Jim

I don't know what the difference between the two entries might be. Krzyzanowska's Monnaies Coloniales d’Antioche de Pisidie would have to be consulted. The "woman" is also left unidentified here.
