Great pictures Nico!

The one in the amphitheatre  has you looking as if thinking:

"Gee, go away for for just one weekend to Cicillia and the whole place goes to hell. And where is my chariot?" Wink

Seattle was one of my favorite layovers when I flew. . .
did you get the job?  You looked very nice.
I am surprised at how many people go to interviews in old t-shirts and blue jeans with holes.

Didn't actually do any interviews this trip.  Just searching out possibilities.  The Marine Corps has decided it won't issue me new knees to replace the torn up ones I have, so it's time to move on.  Grin I still have no idea what the heck I am going to do.  I'm just looking it the Pacific Northwest as that's where I'd like to relocate to.  Anyone up there looking for a prior Marine with a BA in ancient history and classical studies?  I can figure out just about any job I need to, just looking for something new where I can settle in to a long-term career!

Why not.. her is myself (showing my softer side haha) my wife-to-be and my little boy celebrating his first birthday (can't forget the inflatable Dalek on the right!).  Now hopefully the addition of Romanian blood to my family will allow me to live over in eastern europe for a while one day.  All i need is a tent and a metal detector.  Grin Wink

Here is the newest member of our family.  An...ah...obverse of Trajan. A young male of 6 months or so.

We walk Lucky the Wonder Dog every evening and his highness deigned to start walking with us.  All the way around the neighborhood.  Over and over all summer.  We found his "owner" who had picked him up starving in a fast food parking lot and taken him home.  The "owner" had little interest in him and asked us if we wanted him.  Read:  Were we willing, like most human pets of cats to be cast into servitude in perpetuity?  We agreed.
So far, a better name would be Vitellius, considering his appetite. Actually he is a fine, affectionate example of his species.  We've come to love him very much. He in return, regards us as adequate staff, with potential for improvement if properly trained to his needs and wants.

Oh, he is beautiful.  I had one like that and, tellingly, his name was Lydos.  Lydos was a vase-painter (a very fine one) who worked in Athens in the 2nd quarter of the 6th c. BC, but he signed his work, hGreek_Omicron  Greek_Lambda Greek_Upsilon_2 Greek_Delta Greek_Omicron GreeK_Sigma, "the Lydian".

Because the old thread was deleted here is another pic. It is a scetch made by the French comic artist Fabrice Neaud ten years before in Angouleme AD 1997.

One picture from last month -

With my oldest son, taken in Tainan, Taiwan.

There was a festival going on, and lots of street vendors were out that day - with a variety of goods!

I wish I had a drawing like Jochen's but my whole family were camera buffs.  Anyhow, A.D. 1946, aet. 12, Richmond, CA, and this cat's name was Comet.  Pat L.
I do feel sheepish about this, but the recent pictures....
