Countermarked Coins Ref.
« on: January 08, 2007, 02:52:10 pm »
What are some good references (books or articles) on countermarked coins (particularly related to the first century)?  I am familiar with C. J Howgego (1985) , R. Baker's brief introduction SAN, XV, (1984): 52-58, and Rodolfo Martini, Collezione Pangerl, Contromarche Imperiali Romane (2003).  I am also aware of the Museum of Roman countermarks website.  I did found a reference to Gregory Brunk in The Numismatist (Dec. 74 and Jan 75), but at the ANA website, I did not see a way to access previous published articles.

Many thanks for any help.
