I got this one from FORVM just yesterday and had to post it here.
Finally I have this, not rare, but usually expensive, reverse type in a, for me, acceptable condition.
Sometimes I wish I were the necklace wearing type, this would be a good coin for that.

Bronze AE 24, Varbanov obv 704 / rev 705 (obverse legend not listed for this reverse variety), gF, holed, 3.738g, 24.3mm, 45o, Markianopolis mint, obverse AU•KL AUP KOMODOC, draped and cuirassed bust right; reverse MARKIANOPOLEITWN, the three Graces side by side, Grace on left holds amphora, on right holds wreath (variety without dolphin and amphora at feet); very rare variety

Very nice, and a good Commodus portrait, too. Personally, I wouldn't mind the hole.

And I really prefer that type of patina (or lack thereof) on those brass coins.

I, too, like to see the brass, even if I have to watch them more closely for BD.  In my opinion, that is the best of all the Three Graces coins, one of the best Marcianopolis coins, and a real prize, the hole being a small price to pay, if one is a true collector intending to keep and study the coin.  Congratulations on all counts.  I have a Three Nymphs, but I have yet to find a Graces (nude) that I liked and could afford.

Pat, this coin is waiting for you.  The version without amphora and dolphin.
Unfortunately, it is off my price range.

But the dies, especially the obverse, are not as good as Andreas' coin's dies, yet without a hole or something it probably costs more than I'd pay, because if I later saw dies I really liked I'd just get the great one as well.  The rule about place-markers is that they must be cheap!  This is especially true of coins that are of well published types, when one doesn't need the coin as evidence.  But thank you.  Pat
