Uses and abuses of Gresham's Law in the History of Money
« on: June 19, 2006, 02:57:36 pm »
This is not actually a book, but as it prints out to 29 pages, it ought to be and I found it so interesting that I thought I would bring it to everyone's attention.

Uses and abuses of Gresham's Law in the History of Money by Dr. Robert A. Mundell

http://www.usagold.com/gildedopinion/MundellGresham.html

Many of us quote Gresham's Law when sounding off about de-basement, hoarding etc., without really understanding the mechanisms behind it. Dr Mundell, a Nobel Prize winner, dispells the myths and tells us like it is, using examples from Ancient Greece to the present day.

Enjoy! ;D
