I've been collecting
Roman Imperials for a long time, but I'd kind of like to get into some of the
provincials too. I have over 100
provincials already, mostly from a
bulk lot I bought years ago. I was wondering if you
had any recommendations for any specific issues? I'd be looking for something that's 25 mm. or larger, and has a fairly decent
portrait.
I like the
Antioch Tetradrachms, especially the earlier ones, as well as the "
Rome style" ones of Philip. I also admire Alexandrian Drachms, but I never got much into the Tetradrachms, mostly because of generally lousy
portraits, and the low silver content didn't
help either.
