AE Byzantine ID - Tetarteron?

Hello Everyone,

OK, what did I miss while looking through Sear ?  This is a thin, flat coin of 1.89g; 17.9mm; 150°.  The A/KI on the reverse seems like an Issac to me but that is just a guess really.

And it is a damn good guess Kevin. This is a tetarteron of Isaac II 1st rule 1185-1195 . The coin is S-2005

 I cannot see Michaels wings on your picture but that would confirm it ;Their is also a smaller one with no legend fot St. Michael, that one is around 15mm and very hard to come by.

Thank you Simon   Yes, I can see the wings, they are very low in relief and thus didn't photograph well.  The "AKI" vs. "A/KI" threw me off, so the arrangement of the letters doesn't matter either with this type of coin, interesting

The controll over this time period in Byz coinage was very strict but just with the image not the legend, in DOC tetartera have many legend variations same with trachea.
