Well, you know... during the many rebellions in the reign of
Probus there were some heavy casualties in statuary. This is also why a lot of the inscriptions honouring him were chiseled out. There aren't that many full ones extant.
There's another marble
bust, which is allegedly of
Probus, but it seems to be more of a
Severan era
bust than one from the later
part of the 3rd century. There are two bronze busts at the museum in Brescia which allegedly are of
Probus, but there's disagreement about the
attribution. The only confirmed
Probus I know of is the one in the Capitoline Museum.
You have noticed, no doubt, that we aren't swamped by marble (or any other kind) busts of
Carus et sui.
