is it correct these are parts of horse harness?
« on: March 17, 2021, 06:57:18 am »
Good afternoon all,

I tried figuring out myself what they are and i'm quite certain that the circle is a strap slider and the other is a hanger for horse harness. If anyone can confirm or deny that,that'd be awesome. As for age i'm not certain but I think arround 3rd century AD.

But the last item I got no clue where it must have been applied  ???. It's the smallest aplique i've ever held and very fragile.

Cheers  +++

Yes.  All were used on Roman horse harness.

The third one was sometimes used on belts but with one stud on the back it appears to be horse harness.

While the left and right ones are more common the middle is scarcer.

It is 2nd-3rd century.  Jilek (2005), fig. 5, # 41.
