domizianus legend Strange
« on: January 12, 2021, 10:28:06 am »
Always from the series of coins to be trashed.
This ae 22 should be Domitian.
the legend on the obverse is definitely ΔOMITIOC ........ legend that does not exist in rpc 2, already posted on an Italian site, but not recognized.
On the reverse, a figure standing on the left with an animal at his feet, surely the legend begins with an A.
I hope someone will give me a hint also in consideration of the anomalous obverse legend, which should be ΔOMITIANOC,
 Thanks

A collector of the Flavian period found no correspondence even of a similar reverse.

Hi AO,

The reverse looks like Dionysos and a panther.
