Haven't we all at some stage lusted after that rare expensive coin, hopelessly beyond our financial reach? If so then by definition you are a Numismatic Luster.

For the last six years I have been lusting after a coin struck from a specif die set at a specific mint. All to no avail as no examples have come to market. I guess that makes me a mint luster!

In fact "numismatic luster" is simply what Ebay does to Herr Dr Lanz's seller's name on Ebay ("numismatiklanz") when you specify translate into English.

Although as far I know lanz means lance.

I access eBay.de through my app but have to set Germany as my location, so nothing gets translated. Unfortunately I have not been browsing much lately because the semester has been so busy but it was always part of my nightly routine!

Yes, nearly, as dwarf pointet out.

But if you split "numismatiklanz" into "numismati" and "klanz" and then correct "numismati" to "numismatik" and "klanz" to "glanz" (or somehow like this), then you get "numismatic luster".
Because the German "Glanz" is "luster" in English  .
