Please Help ID Roman coin
« on: November 10, 2020, 02:21:33 pm »

Hi

Someone sent me these pictures of a coin. He wants to sell it to me.
The coin measures approximately 25-27mm.
I couldn't identify it.
Thank you in advance for your help

I couldn't find a rule that talks about potential purchases. The only rule n° 2 is for sales, not for purchases.
In addition I request assistance for one coin and not for a large number of coins

The top image strongly resembles Constantine commemorative with veiled bust. Can you please verify that both sides are from the same coin and that the size is correct?

Both sides are the same coin, for sure, but the size is approximate. I will know the exact weight and dimension tomorrow.

The obverse seems to match but the reverse is not the same.

It's confirmed: the coin measures 27 mm

Those images are not from the same coin.

One is a 4th century Roman imperial coin that would be approx 17mm did, the other is a larger provincial.

The shapes are not even the same.
