Hi,

I recently was looking for the Jim Schaffer collection of Philip I and family coins which was a great collection on his web site.  The other day I was trying to look for the site, but it does not appear to be there.  I tried e-mailing Jim, but his e-mail did not work.  Does anyone know what happened to Jim and his web site?  Does anyone have current contact information?

Thanks,

Paul

Hi,
Sadly I found out that Jim passed away last year.  I only knew him through asking questions by e-mail, but he always took the time to respond and I greatly appreciated that.

I have copied some of these lost websites to NumisWiki. I just added this excellent site...

https://www.forumancientcoins.com/numiswiki/view.asp?key=Roman%20Locks

I think the way back machine is great but I think it is easier to find and use in NumisWiki. Hopefully the effort to post lost sites is appreciated by the family. If they complain, I will, of course, take them down.
