Stone seal...
« on: September 27, 2020, 11:17:14 am »
Hello.

What may we say about this seal’s period? Assyrian, Persian or another?
4 cm height, 1.5 cm diameter.

Thanks for any comment...

Sincerely...

The shape and style is interesting and not usual.

It appears to portray a "brahma" bull, so perhaps it is from  South Asia??

Dear Mr Otlichnik, it is really a puzzle for me, the location of finding is far from South Asia, but maybe it is a result of trading activity. I saw some traces; a pattern or an inscription or else had been tried to be deleted, maybe i am wrong.

Thank you very much for your comment.

Sincerely

Thank you very very much for the seals Mr Sam. Sumerian-Babylonian type Persian seal with Brahma bull below... May it be a specimen for an Indo-Persian blended cultural product, i see first in my lifetime such a seal 🧐
