Castulo? Reverse?
« on: September 21, 2020, 12:41:28 pm »
AE 13 mm, 3.00 g

The portrait on the obv. looks like many from Castulo.  The beast on the rev. is not readily identified.  I know that there are bulls and boars and sphinxes, but I doubt it could be the last one.  Any help in id would be most appreciated.  Thank you.

It perhaps could also be some imitative coin, roughly like these:

https://www.acsearch.info/search.html?id=6113779
https://www.acsearch.info/search.html?id=4557632

Stylistically these imitations have a large bandwidth, so it can be difficult to find out more  :-\.

Thanks Altamura.  Looks very much like it could be the case!
