Finally organized my numismatic library
« on: August 17, 2020, 09:33:49 pm »
I've purchased several books in the last year and had books scattered everywhere with no order to them.  I spent half a day today getting them organized and shelved where they should be for maximum efficiency, all right next to my work station at home.  Thought I'd share the results.

The last shot is my sweetheart of a granddaughter with my lovely wife.  I married up!

Hi,

All looks good. I wish I could organise my library. Books are two deep on some shelves and there is no system to it. I do, however know where my most commonly consulted volumes are.

Regards.,

Mauseus

Brilliant!  Charles M, you are to be congratulated for that most worthy organizational effort, the impressive "shelfie" pictures, and your lovely cherubs too!

If the volumes in your numismatic library are to go by, I swear we must be twins.

I was forced into organizing my library when I moved this spring.  I won't steal your thunder, here, but my 2020 additions include...

SNG France (vol. 1, 2 & 3, Delepierre, Cilicie...).
SNG Greece (vol. 6, Alpha Bank)
SNG Switzerland (vol. 1, Levante)
SNG Turkey (vol. 1-4)
ANS Numismatic Studies (vol. 4, Newell WSM)
Mack, Coinage of Ancient Britain.
RIC III.3
RSC (five volume set).
Sear Imperators (Sear CRI)
Sydenham CRR

Most of my SNG volumes came from FORVM.

On order: Varbanov Greek Imperials (three volume set), SNG France (vols 4-6.1).

Sadly, I've misplaced my Sydenham Cappadocia.  It was, if you can believe it, my reading material for the move this spring.  Left in a hotel lobby, most likely. Alas.

PS (8 Sept. 2020 update): After having reported that my copy of Martin Price's Coinage of Alexander the Great and Philip Arrhidaeus never arrived, le voila! Seems that parcels from Italy go through a two week quarantine at USPS.
