One of my favorite coins.   Octavia's head size varies considerably from die to die.

Congratulations Joe!

I would LOVE to have it in my collection!  The cista mystica and its accompanying serpents are an intriguing glimpse of a long dead religion that none the less must have a deep meaning to those at the time, otherwise it would not be so prominent in the ancient art that has survived.

A coin that both historically interesting and wonderfully mysterious.
