Showing a mere fraction of a coin makes it
extremely difficult to determine
almost anything at all. Also, when showing images, it does
help a great
deal if one can actually see what is shown, suitably size, clear and focused,
and properly lit so one can actually see the necessary identifying details.
Having said that, one can see the letters TH II, though reversed.
That would seem to indicate toward Elizabe
th II, and the fact that it has
been reversed seems to suggest that this is some sort of blank that has
been used take an impression of a coin of QE II. Perhaps someone used
this to hit another coin with a hammer to see what would happen.
Who knows!
In any case, not ancient, and probably not a coin. A modern piece of metal.
