Hi GG,

I found a coin that looks similar to your coin, and the reverse legend seems to match. However, there are 2 differences. First, your coin has a border of dots on the obverse, and the acsearch coin doesn't. Second, your coin has what appears to be a meander pattern below the bipennis, and the acsearch coin doesn't. But it could be off the flan on the acsearch example. Meander patterns are common on Phrygia coins.

Here is a link:

On the coin here I read AN to the left of the double axe and perhaps IN to the right.
This does not match with the coins from Thyateira  :(.

But at the moment I don't have a better idea.

Perhaps the legend is AN-TI which could point to Antioch on the Maeander  ???.
