Iron Spear Head ?

Hi guys, I have this iron item and  need some help identifying it

It is from the other end of a spear.  It is known as a ferrule or spear-butt.

Iron ones like this are likely Roman or Germanic.

I think the butt-end was called a "frog-sticker" in Greek.  It was useful for holding the spear upright in the ground,  but also for finishing off wounded adversaries lying helpless, without bending the main spearhead.

   This phrase, and almost 100% of what I understand about Greek hoplites, comes from Myke Cole, Legion versus Phalanx, Osprey, 2018.
