Galba denarius rev S.P.Q.R/OB/C.S
« on: February 10, 2020, 04:36:54 am »
Dears,
I am looking for information on the depicted coin. I took the reference from the catalogue of Seaby, volume II. I don’t see that this combination of Av and Rs is described as a rare one, but I cannot find any entries of such a denarius on CoinAchives Pro and acsearch. Most of the denarii with this reverse are with bear head of Galba, facing right and with inscriptionIMP SER GALBA AVG” . The averse side of the coin in question is with laureate head right and inscription “ÏMP. GALBA”.
