PtolemyBronze.com for 2020

Bringing the Ptolemybronze.com web site, especially the Coin Series (photos and identification) page, into the new decade with some updates and additions I hope will be welcome.

Three Macedonian and Thracian issues of Ptolemy Keraunos and Ptolemy III are now added to the 'coin photos' (Series) page:

I've started adding the catalog numbers from Catharine Lorber's "Coins of the Ptolemaic Empire" (aka CPE) from the volume with bronze coins
of Ptolemy I - Ptolemy IV. CPE is becoming widely used as the most modern standard reference and it'll be good to have the B### references numbers along with the Svoronos numbers in the same place for each of the coin types. Adding the CPE B### catalog numbers will take some time and require hundreds of edits to the site, so it's an ongoing rolling update process for those. Thank you for your patience.

Some photos are new and improved on that page as well.  Many of the coins were photographed years up to 10 years ago and cameras and lighting ideas have improved *a lot*. Again in an ongoing effort many, especially the smallest coins, will get improved photos. Some are up already and more will be over coming months. New pics are simply replacing old ones as the new ones become available.

Thanks to everyone for your support and spreading the word about using the site for coin identification, etc. The Facebook 'following' count is now up near 1400 and every week Facebook shows that people from all over the world are interacting with the site's Facebook 'page'.

That all said, watch for more announcements and news about the site in 2020.

Happy New Year everyone,

PtolemAE
