Pekka's link is a
bit misleading, because the coin and its description are contradictory and do not match the coin presented here
.
The latter has the
legend AΠAMEΩN THΣ IEΡAΣ KAI AYTONOMOY, so it has been minted after 40/39 BC when
Apameia was granted autonomy by Antony. Before that the
legend has been AΠAMEΩN THΣ IEΡAΣ KAI AΣΥΛOΥ.
To the left of the
corn ears on the
reverse can be seen EOΣ, standing for the minting year 275 in the
Seleucid era, corresponding to 38/37 BC.
Below the
corn ears there are the additional letters AN what probably stands for a magistrate.
An exact reference including year and magistrate is
SNG Copenhagen 297.
