For me, this is one of the iconic 'white whales' of Flavian coinage!

Also, it came slabbed and is no longer so.

Thanks Andrew!

It was a fun coin to research (children in Roman art, the concept of 'guardianship' in imperial Rome, etc ... ), but in the end I left out much of it. I didn't want the write-up to go off on a bunch of tangents and decided to focus more on the numismatics. It was certainly interesting reading though!
