Split Military Belt Terminal Caesarea M
« on: May 31, 2019, 06:06:43 pm »
Hi, all.  Here is what I think is a terminal for a split Military Belt end.  I found some similar items in Otlichnik's very informative numiswiki article.  Any corrections or other information would be welcome.  Thanks, V-drome.

Bronze Belt Terminal
Caesarea Maritima
Roman 2nd - 3rd Century CE
Terminal end for a split military
belt.  D-shaped loop pendant with
roughly hexagonal sections tapering
to a central ball, and slightly offset
(rotated), with respect to each end.
Length: 5.5cm. Weight:6.46gm.
Surface find, 1971
J .Berlin Caesarea Collection

military belts, page 26.
