Hi Juan

Try

http://coinindia.com/
http://www.wildwinds.com/coins/greece/indo_scythians/azes/t.html

Or the search feature on https://www.acsearch.info/home.html

The members gallery here might assist too. Would love to see a picture of the coin once you have identified it!

Hi RL and other forum's members, here you have pictures from mine and the most similar one I have found on Acsearch.
I am getting worried as legends don't fit with mine, seller said it was minted by Azes II, but I wasn't able to find it, and the ones I have found doesn't seem to fit, maybe contemporani imitation or just fake? Maybe another different atribution?

I think this is not Azes or Spalirises, but rather Vonones with Spalagadames, eg https://www.acsearch.info/search.html?id=1742814.

As to whether it's genuine or not, size weight and style are OK for a drachm, but I don't feel confident enough making a call either way on the photos.

Hi again RL, I am sorry but not able to understand what you mean by: I don't feel confident enough making a call either way on the photos, it has to be an English idiom but no idea hahahaha, would you mind explaining it? Do you believe coin could be fake?

Hi Juan

You had asked if it might be a contemporary imitation or just fake.

I was just saying that I couldn’t say whether it might be fake or genuine from the photos.

Put another way, I don’t see anything that would make me conclude that it is fake, but likewise I couldn’t say that it’s not fake either as it is very hard to be sure of any coin on photos alone, and there is some ambiguity. Eg there appears to be an area of raised metal in the lower right field of the reverse which I can’t explain. And the dirt (which looks fresh) could equally be hiding other possible defects or conversely indications of genuinely struck coin like flow lines in the silver (I’m not suggesting you clean it!).

As I said above though I wouldn’t say it’s fake, I’m just not able to say that it isn’t fake. If you have concerns it might be worth posting in the fake coin section to get some additional views.

Hi again RL, now I understand it, thanks so much!

I was mainly worried cause wasn't able to ID as Azes II (as the seller said) so I thaught it was maybe a copy, now that you have helped me with right attribution I feel more confident about coin.

Anyway I am going to have a look on fane coins files just in case this one is on it, I don't really hope so hahahaha

King regards
