Unique Sestertius of Domitian as Caesar under Titus

Hello everyone,

this coin is unpublished so far, although it was already posted five years ago here on Forum by the previous owner.

It has also been recorded by Carradice and Buttrey in the RIC 2.1. A&C, with the provisional number 99A. Other Domitian AE coins struck under Titus before Vespasian deification are expected to show up.

I really wanted the coin since then, so I've been very excited winning it in a recent auction.

The portrait of Domitian shows the typical style of the late Vespasian / early Titus issues, while the reverse is simply amazing on such a large flan.

I'm very pleased to share it here.
