Hi,
can anyone tell me anything about these brooches? Bronze, 3,5-5 cm.

Regards

Geto-Dacian style of late Celtic fibulae.

Check out the Numiswiki entry on fibula, Celtic page.

otlichnik:

Thanks for a superb reference on fibulae!!
Please check me out on its use to identify the fibula below. I think it identifies the fibula as a "Celtic, La Tène II
Dates: c. 320/275 - 150 BC, alternately 200 - 100 BC.
Diamond Bow
Typology: Orlea-Maglavit type La Tene II fibula
Dates: La Tene C2 - D1, c. 2nd century BC, used until mid-1st century BC.
Notes: Has a wide diamond shaped bow, often with a groove, and a bilateral spring, usually with six winds."

Akropolis,

Yes, you have found the right reference.  Glad you like the resource.

Only the second date range - "Dates: La Tene C2 - D1, c. 2nd century BC, used until mid-1st century BC." - is correct for this type.
