Hello,

I finally got off of my butt and set-up a gallery. For now I only have one album and a single coin, but I certainly want to add more albums and coins in the future (which can be a tad of a hassle for me, since I do not have Internet at home). Anyway, my question is this: is there a way to format words (e.g. bold, italics) and/or add superscript (for footnotes) in the description of the coin? I apologize if this has already been covered in the Members' Gallery FAQs, but my quick breeze through of the FAQs didn't turn anything up.

Thanks.

Tracy

Yes, I just tried. You can use the usual html tags

For the coin below I marked the words Obv.: and Rev.: bold

https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pos=-109620

using < b > and < /b > without the spaces before and after the word.

and the references in italic

with < i > and < /i >, again without the spaces

Hello everyone,

Just found a way to use symbols in descriptions - you type in the HTML code. For example, an dot like this:  :dot: would be · . This only appears to work in the gallery postings, though, not in posts like these.

An example of this in my gallery: https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pos=-153886

A google search will let you find the code for other symbols.

Hope someone finds this useful,
Harry
