Corroded and lightweight RPC 5416
« on: February 26, 2019, 05:41:18 pm »
Got this one. From the picture, the coin looks very corroded, still, the type is quite identifiable. It is also very lightweight (10,63g), seems to be lighter than any other described so far, maybe the corrosion ate out a lot of metal. Hopefully the bronze disease is not active (I do not have it in hand yet), if it is active, will try to cure it.

The coin has finally arrived, luckily it does not have active bronze disease, it is just already corroded.
The insufficient weight seems to be not a result of corrosion, the flan becomes very thin on the one side of the coin,
being of normal thickness on the other (i.e. it is kind of triangular in cross section).
