Caligula Antioch Tetradrachm - Transfer dies?
« on: February 21, 2019, 02:03:16 pm »
Could this be a transfer dies fake?

The thing that makes me suspicious is the same wear on the obverse. I would say it is a die match on the obverse. On the reverse it is harder to tell since there is a double strike, however they look very similar.

The weight is very similar as well - 14,87g for the first one, 14.90g for the second.

Am I being paranoid for no reason here?
