Parthian and
Sassanian coins (there were probably many more) that were stolen in
France on
Christmas Eve can now be seen on the website Parthika.fr. under La
Collection Parthika at the bottom of the title page above the 'Attention ... Beware Stole Coins' alert. Many of the sample coins in the chapter Les Différents
Types are owned by other collectors so those should not be automatically considered as stolen.
Let us
hope that this splendid
collection will be recovered soon in its entirety. If we all keep our eyes open online, at
auctions, and at
coin shows perhaps a lead to the thieves can be developed.
