The National Museum of Australia in Canberra has received a loan of more than 200 significant objects from the British Museum. There is a strong numismatic component and the museum has extended it's opening hours from 8 am to 7 pm every day for the duration of the exhibition. It is a wonderful chance for Australians, or people visiting Australia who happen to be in Canberra to see these highly interesting objects. The exhibition, Rome: City and Empire, closes on 3 February 2019.
