Well, it is only an error if you expect names should always be
complete on
ancient coins. In this case, the engraver probably got to "Antoni..." and realised that there wasn't enough room left for NOC and CE. He then decided to abbreviate the name Antoninus and put in CE (for SEbastos=Augustus), rather than omit the imperial title to
complete the personal name Antoninus.
