So I searched the threads for historical fiction ideas and found some, but they mainly focused on Ancient
Rome. I wonder if anyone
had any recommendation for historical fiction on Ancient
Greece. Here are my favorites:
Stephen Pressfield's books - Gates of Fire, The Last Amazon, The Virtues of War, The Afghan Campaign, and, to a lesser extent, The Tides of War
David Gemmel's
Troy Trilogy, but also the
Lion of Macedon and the Dark Prince (2 book series)
Helen of
Troy by Margarate George
Circe by Madeline
MillerThe Olympian by E.S.
KraayThe Tyrant Series (only books 1 and 2) by
Christian Cameron
Books on order that I haven't read yet include the following:
1. Persian Fire by Tom
Holland2.
Achilles his Armour,
Alexander of Macedon, and The Laughter of Aphrodite by
Peter Green
3. Last of the Wine by Mary Renault
If anyone has any other recommendations it would be greatly appreciated!
