Acquisition of the month
« on: November 14, 2018, 08:01:20 pm »
Hi Guys

After waiting a long time I could eventually get three coin on top of my want list with  fairly good price in an auction today.

1. a three faced sasanian coin although not in great condition but suffices to fill the gap in my sassanian collection plus the hoard patina on it makes me more convinced of its authenticity.  Its good to mention that this is a highly faked series and once I got  fake one from an auction but could return it without any problem.

2. A tetradrachm of Augustus

3. My first roman gold coin which is from time of Tiberius

You outbid me on the Augustus tetradrachm!

When you get it and think it's fake I'll buy it off of you  ;D

Hey Jay

I noticed the user was Jay something but didn't know it was you actually. So sorry for outbidding you on this coin. These coins as you see, they have thick patina and that is the reason I got them I actually trust these much more than cleaned coins (just a personal choice) so I am confident these are real deal :)

Thanks Q I specially like the roman gold and sassanian 3 face coin. That sassanian coin is very hard to find an authentic example of it. Most you find online and on auctions are fakes of it.
