AE20, 4.81 g, die-axis 0, bare-headed portrait r. (better in hand), GERMANIKOY KAISAROS, rare amphora-countermark in amphora-shaped field, Howgego 369 (cf. Charlie Hughes' scarce Drusus-specimen *) / Ornamented trident, legend apparently SHR...YZA EPI...W, in a very faintly-struck beaded border. Both the legend and the ornamented trident connect my coin with issues from Byzantium; even though there appears to be no room for GAIOY on my coin's obverse, I suspect that the portrait here stands for Caligula rather than Germanicus his father. As Mark Fox has noted, the amphora-countermark links the coin closely to the scarce unattributed Drusus-issue RPC 1.5453, yet the incomplete legends attested for 5453 are considerably harder to claim for Byzantium in Thrace; any insights or thoughts? Thanks for any / all help!
