It's sad to think that JRR's descendants have been
reduced to
selling his coin
collection online. Perhaps it was formed by trading ration coupons in
Oxford during the war, or perhaps taken in bridge games in Flanders from
Lawrence or Graves in Flanders. You would think that over 60 years of royalties, plus movie rights, would make that unnecessary.....
It is amazing how difficult it is to call out such outright
fraud on that
selling platform, even when every listing violates several of their rules. One would almost think the platform appreciated getting a cut of several hundred purported sales of
fakes. (I think much of the feedback is bogus, too.)
