I recently visited the Franklin Institute in
Philadelphia to see the "Terracota Warriors" exhibit of six life-size figures from the mauseleum of Emperor Qin Shihuang (who died in 210 B.C.E.) in Xi’an,
China. Here is one of my photos:
I see that Joe is now offering quite a few oriental coins. I have a number of oriental albums in my
gallery, mostly Qing Dynasty
Chinese (which are the only ones that I ever collected systematically). The vast majority were bought for pocket change years ago, when
Fischer's Ding was the go-to
catalog, with references to Schjöth. This was before David
Hartill published
his Qing Cash. I
still dabble in oriental coins from time to time. I just added this one that I bought from
Forum Ancient Coins:

Annam). Later Lê Dynasty Thánh Tông (1442-1497),
Barker 35.1-35.12;
Toda 57.
Unfortunately, I don't have access to
Barker, and thus have not been able to pinpoint the exact
type within
Barker 35. If anyone with the book would
complete the
attribution it would be greatly appreciated.
