Alexander III "The Great" : is it a fake coin?
« on: March 17, 2018, 05:05:00 pm »
Hi everyone,

First of all this is my first message and I'd like to thank you all for your information about coins and your time !! This is greatly appreciated.

My question concerns a coin that I bought years ago. This coin represents Alexander III the Great and seems a bit fake. Some details seems fake and I bought it for a low price.

According to you is it fake or genuine ?

Thank you for your help,

Thank you for your identification, it has been sold to me like a coin of Alexander III :(

Can you (or other people) tell me if it is at least a genuine one?

I do not see anything that indicates it is false to me, though I would like to see higher resolution photographs.

Hi HG,

It looks genuine to me.

Here is my example (scroll down, third coin):

Thank you very much both of you !

Here are pictures with higher resolutions. With these pics do you still think that it is genuine?
