It is not known where these bronzes of Philip II have been minted.

In Hersh, Ch. A., "A 1992 Hoard of bronze coins of Philip II from Beroia in Thrace", in: M. Amandry, S. Hurter (eds), Travaux de numismatique grecque offerts à Georges Le Rider, London 1999, it is spoken about Amphipolis, Pella und Philippi as the mints of these bronzes.

In A. R. Bellinger, "Philippi in Macedonia", ANSMN 11 (1964), it is discussed whether these symbols, letters and monograms are standing for a magistrate or a minting year, but there is no clear answer:
