Thoughts on this Vespasian
« on: February 18, 2018, 03:20:22 pm »
Looks OK to me but would like to hear some of your thoughts. Actually, I love the portrait! If this one is fake then I'm still far off from being where I want to be in spotting them.

28.7 mm. 10.4 grams.

Curtis and Mario thanks for your thoughts. I thought it be genuine too, but I always like to hear second thoughts!  +++

On this board, we ask that you do not post coins you think are genuine and ask for opinions. Only post suspected fakes. It is a rule.

I don't think it's garden paint, I believe a few kindergartners went to town on it during art class  ;D

 ???
Patina should be under the dirt and not on it.

It still looks perfectly normal to me.  I believe the lighter color is a mixture of dirt and lime and it seems to be normally distributed.

It is simply not possible that real patina covers lime and dirt. And in addition this one is translucent.
I hope it will be clearer on the new photos.
