Ancient Greek Zeus? ID Help
« on: February 16, 2018, 11:20:07 pm »
I don't know much about this coin. I believe it is Zeus on the front and I don't know what on the obverse. It is 16.7 MM 3.42 Gr.
Can anyone tell me where it's from, what's on the reverse or any help here is appreciated.

Hi Ryan P2,

Your coin is from Arados, I can't make out the date due to the worn condition off the reverse. But the obverse bust of Zeus suggests a date between of 147-141 B.C (era date 113-118).

Spot on! With a little galley on the reverse. Thank you so much.
