My new Gallienus denarius

Hi,

Just added another denarius to my Gallienus collection, the 9th:


There seems to have been a late issue of laureate bronzes late in the reign of Gallienus, commensurate with what turned out to be the penultimate (Goebl's 9th) issue.

Congratulations on your recent acquisition to your collection of these rather rare issues of Gallienus. Undoubtedly, you have a set fit for a museum display! Wonder if other types will surface? In my decades of collecting only can think of a handful being offered for sale. Thanks for sharing and they are wonderful and interesting!

Funny you should say that. I have just picked up, but not photographed yet, a FIDES MILITVM Gallienus denarius. Two in a month, very pleased.
