I Discovered a Parthian Hoard Today
« on: January 13, 2018, 10:44:07 pm »
My wife and I paid a visit to the Princeton University Art Museum today. There was a display of a hoard of Parthian coins. I know that there are some advanced Parthian collectors here that might enjoy the display. Here is the photo:

Very nice!  I would have had my nose up against the glass like a kid looking into a toy store before Christmas.   ;D

Thanks for sharing!

I would have spent more time looking but my wife was pulling me away.

Thanks for sharing. Anything else at the museum of numismatic interest?

There were a small number of Roman imperial, Islamic and medieval European coins on display, as well as some American medals. The museum does have substantial numismatic holdings, but they were not in that building.

Thank you. I did not realise they had a collection of respectable number and a database which is searchable. I will add to the ID links on the identification board.
