I have seen them listed as Celtic era horse harness items.

Not sure how accurate that is.

Ave Shawn, et al.,

I have seen them listed as Celtic era horse harness items. Not sure how accurate that is. SC

Not sure either, Shawn...but now consider it as water bucket, not a basket. It has perfectly positioned tri-pod legs to keep it upright and obvious bucket handles. See the better photo.

I'm now thinking that it could be Urnfield Culture c. 1000-800 BC as it was "found in the vicinity of a small hoard of axes, sword hilts and spear points near the Danube River. Such hoards were often deposited near rivers and wet places like swamps. As such areas were often quite inaccessible, they most probably represent gifts to the gods."

An amulet as a Gift to the Gods, perhaps? A necklace pendent?

What are your thoughts?

Best to all,

Kevin
