I do not believe I have seen it summarised like this before elsewhere. You might consider creating a page on Numiswiki for coins referenced in the bible. I had a look and do not believe that one exists.
This has, in fact, been done a couple of times before (at least!), most notably by my
friend,
and co-author of our Tribute Penny articles,
Rev. Peter R. Dunstan, BSc. BD.
I believe that it was summarised in the Numismatic Association of Australia's Journal* a
few years ago, and from previous discussions I believe similar details were published in
at least one other magazine or journal (perhaps
the Celator?). *(I know he gave a talk
at one or more of the NAA conferences, but I am not sure of the publication details).
Not only that, but when
Peter and I were
writing our most recent article (see below)
we created a reasonably
complete listing of all of these references.
I will send Joe a pdf of these notes, perhaps he can add them to the relevant page(s).
