Hello to all , i am trying to date this slingshot stone, if any one familiar with this type can help me i would be very gratefil, it is 7cm and pretty heavy something like 800 grams. Thanks alot.

I suspect it will be hard to narrow down.

There were certainly Roman machines that used that size stone - some in fact used terra cota / ceramic stones as well as real stones.

But given that Roman siege engines derive in large part from Hellenistic, and the same types were used through Byzantine and early Islamic eras I have no idea how you would narrow it down.

Thanks Shawn, i know it is difficult to narrow down these items date, but i gave it a shot  :), so it can be hellenistic to early islamic, a gap of 1000 years  ::) .
