Wow! What luck, to descend to that depth in that condition. Mustn't be many like that.
Or....over the course of upwards of two millennia, there could be an unbelievable number of them strewn across the sea floor. Hopefully funding will continue for them to keep surveying the bottom.
Because of the extreme depth of the wreck, I would doubt they'll be able to bring it to the surface for conservation and display in a museum, but I do like that they are going to retrieve one of the
amphora to hopefully more accurately date the wreck. And who knows, with the conditions that deep down, the contents could
still be identifiable.
